‘Sim-Swim’ (Simulated Swimming) is a solid answer to a need that cannot always be met: to swim, and therefore improve your physique, cardiovascular activity, and aerobic performance. Now you can lose weight, get toned, and face the day with a positive attitude from the comfort of your own home or wherever you may be!
As with all innovative ideas, ‘Sim-Swim’ was born out of necessity – the need to keep on swimming! To continue with the passion that I had cultivated throughout the years, but was at risk of having to give up for a trivial reason.
The reason? An increased sensitivity of the mucous membranes in my nose to the chlorine present in the water of swimming pools, which impeded normal respiration and required systemic cortisone use for relief of symptoms after every swimming session.
In 2014, the idea of substituting swimming in a pool with swimming at home, without this inconvenience (and with a series of other advantages that we will address later on), was brought to life.
Before launching this innovative, yet simple and practical, method of training, I wanted to try it out and the results were beyond my highest expectations! ‘Sim-Swim’ enables you to get the same benefits as traditional swimming without having to go to the pool (except for those few people who are lucky enough to live near waters that are temperate all year long).
